After a week I've found that all this thing does is make noise. Very loud on low setting. Barely raises the humidity in an 11 x 14 room. Pass this one up and get something else.

Pros: Is cool. Other humidifiers I have had heated up the room with steam. Easier to clean than most.

Cons: No humidity indicator. No steam and although the reservoir is empty after a days run I cannot feel moisture in the air. I have to assume it is there though because that water had to go somewhere.

I'm from New Hampshire and have eczema and suffer from frequent nosebleeds. This is the 5th or 6th humidifier I've owned and is by far the best. I don't like visible mist humidifiers so this one fit the bill. It's a large capacity and easily hydrates my son's bedroom. I like how easy it is to carry to the tub to fill. I also like the selection where you can choose ultimate humidity output or runtime. I find it's hum very soothing and use it instead of a fan during cold months as a white noise machine for my 3 year old. We have humidifiers in all bedrooms and this one is my favorite. If you want to know how much moisture is in the air, by a portable temperature/humidity reader you can move room to room until you get a feel which setting is best for your space, I usually aim for at least 45-50% but not much more unless you want to grow mold on your walls! Also please note that all humidifier filters will mold up if not used for a day or so and sometimes do so even then. It's normal.
